Adult Education – Night Classes

Our Adult Education Night Classes have been serving the local community for over twenty five years. The current Director of Adult Education is Mr. Cathal McDaniel.

There are two terms each year, Spring and Autumn. Spring term usually commences in late January and the Autumn term in late September. Each term lasts  eight or ten weeks depending on the class. Classes are run on a Monday night only. We offer discounted rates on all our classes, of up to 70% for those on social welfare and a special rate for OAP’s.

We offer a diverse range of courses, constantly evolving to meet demand. Courses  on offer include: Pilates, Yoga, Spanish, Italian, English  for Improvers and Beginners, Java, Irish History, (1916), Angel Therapy, Self Defence, Grow Your Own Vegetables and Digital Photography.

Our Brochures are widely available in the Local area. Over 10,000 are distributed locally in the weeks leading up to each term. Copies of the brochure are freely available in the school office or can be viewed here.

Enrolment for night classes is very easy to do. If you are paying the full fee you can enrol on registration nights or you can enrol on-line at Go to adult education, then choose nightclasses and select Riversdale CC. After that click enrol-on-line and follow the instructions. However if you are availing of the discounted rates you must enrol on registration nights, which usually take place on the two Mondays before commencement of the courses. A PPS number is required if you are availing of social welfare rates and this number will be recorded by the Director of Adult Education . If you can’t make it you are welcome to register during the school day at the office or contact the Director on 0876623568 for assistance. Payment can be made by cash, credit card, debit card or cheque made payable to Dublin and Dun Laoghaire Education Training Board. Please note card payments are preferred.

If there is any group of 8 or more people in the community interested in any particular course currently not on offer in our programme, please contact the Director of Adult Education and we will do our best to facilitate you. Should anyone be interested in teaching a course currently on offer in our programme or would like to teach a course not presently available, please contact the Director of Adult Education.
