Did you know that Tsunami is Japanese for harbor wave?
A Tsunami is a big wave in the ocean, which is caused by an earthquake that occurs either in a costal area or the sea floor. A famous tsunami happened in the year 1755 in LisbonPortugal. One morning the city was hit by an earthquake which was a 9 on the Richter scale, 30 minutes later a Tsunami hit Portugal. There were two more Tsunamis waves that followed a short time after. The waves reached nearly 98 feet high, over 1000,000 people were killed.
